Seriously sober talk....

BEST PEDAL EVAR!!!!

I ran into some rather nasty phase issues.
But, I have it set up to switch between my wah and Behemoth, so I can go from dark and meaty to soaring wah.
Loving the LS-2!!!!!!

Yeah,...I'd say that there are better blends out there,...but still,...it's got some uses if you dig in and experiment.

No offense but I tried blending but I wasn't into it. Something like Tiga's Xblender I'd be willing to try out before I made a definitive opinion.

The thing I dislike about TB is how there's manufacurers posting there, so a lot of times you can't post your true thoughts on something. Fact: MicroThumpinator and B3K are GROSSLY overpriced, for what they do. Just sayin.

I guess my thing is that I know the LS-2 does lotsa cool shit, but I just can't get a firm grasp on how to use it. :erm:

I'm not trying to defend those prices, since I agree w/you, but I wonder how much of it all has to do with the currency exchange rate, shipping costs, etc.

i'm with you on the Thumpy-Ladle, that just seems silly to me. and all his pedz are MAD expensive. but for me the B3k doesn't feel over-priced. but i love it so much i'd believe it's horrible lies if i walked in on it getting down with my grrL.

"oh! you were just... helping her look for her... contacts. and you already searched your clothes... so that's why you both were naked. that... that makes sense... i guess..."

hurm. i'm going to have to diagram it out 'cause it keeps stumbling over itself in my head, but is there a way with a two spot bypass looper to nest a loop?

like loop 1 = pedal a, pedal b, loop 2 that has pedals c, d and e, back in loop 1 pedal f.

so if loops 1's on and loop 2's off it would go a -> b -> f, and then if you click on loop 2 if would go a -> b -> c -> d -> e -> f? i know if you could nest like that then 1 would have to be on for 2 to do anything.... but can you set up basic bypass loopers like that?

Early Morning Durpy Question is DURPY.

The exchange rate has lowered from 1.8 dollars to 1.2 dollars to the euro but now DarkGlass has a U.S. Distributor so I guess it doesn't matter since they won't sell direct to us anymore. I don't care about the Builder being on there. I have said some stuff critical of Source Audio and R.Smith responded. We both agreed in the end that Multi Wave Bass Distortion isn't for everyone. Although I do like the BEF Pro...
I think it is harder for me to be direct with or criticize Hugo because I like a lot of the same stuff he does and am really impressed with his company even though I don't have a B3K anymore. I am kind of willing to try one out again though. I think Hugo really does aim to please and stands behind his product.

Wouldn't stop me, but then again I wouldn't feel the need to overly bash any companies' products with the exception of somebody with shitty business ethics/practices. For instance, I really like Taylor and love the Xero and Polytope I have from him, but I'm not afraid to tell anybody that I don't like the Oxide very much. I get why people would like it, just like I get why people like the B3k (The clips I've heard do nothing for me, but Behndy likes it so there must be something redeeming to it ;) ), so as long as the people behind the brands seem to be good peeps, there isn't much reason to straight out bash any brands.

What's really hard is working in the industry and seeing some of the misinformation out there but not wanting to get involved trying to correct the stupid shit I read.

Also, as far as the pricing of something like the B3K goes...working for a Danish company like I do and spending some time in Scandanavia now, I can tell you that besides the exchange rate issue, shit is just really expensive there. Anybody who is going to manufacture something in Finland, Sweden, Norway or Denmark are at a huge competitive disadvantage. Taxes are insane, your simple fast food meal is at least twice as expensive as it is in the US. My colleagues in Denmark told me the average Danish person only goes out to dinner once a month.

Then again, they get free healthcare, education (either trade or university) and generous unemployment benefits among other things. Not going to get into what is good vs bad about this kind of thing, but you can see how it would make things like manufacturing pedals there seemingly more difficult.

i THINK the only that'll work is if F has an effects loop. if so, then you can run the B loop from the A/B looper to the effects loop of F and you should be good. or you MIGHT be able to use a splitter going into the input of F, but i won't guarantee that won't screw up the signal via some ground fault or something.

yah. this is the hard part for me. there's only two builders i can think of that i have issues with that are popular either here or on TB, and they're such nice guys and do great customer service that i wouldn't bash them publicly. but that's just like either i don't like the pedals they put out that much, or they have shoddy kind of scary build quality inside, not people like the Oz guy that just disappears every once in awhile owing people pedals and money.

....... i dunno. i still talk about product i don't like on TB. i just say it politely. like the Source stuff... i dig the BEF Pro some, i honestly haven't put enough time in to have a good opinion either way yet, but hated the Multiwave Distortion thing. and i've said that. same with the Swell stuff. the guy seems nice, Sousie likes them a lot, i kinda..... hated the one i got to try out. but i wouldn't bash somebody unless they were being dick holes in public anyways. even if they weren't showing up on the site.

Yeah...I love the Polytope. The Xero D was cool but I just found it WAY too hard to dial in. It was like, 90% of the settings didn't do anything...that 10% that did stuff was awesome but it was hard to get right to the exact setting it needed to be....and that setting you wanted never seemed to be in the same spot every time I tried to find it.....the Oxide is cool, but like you said, it's just not my sound. Reverb isn't my thing.

BUT. The IE stuff is at a great price. Like ss/bs stuff. Is there really something about the B3K that makes it over $100 more than a TA!FM? Fuck no. It's basically a slightly darker Elements with a lot less versatility. It should be right at the price of the Elements.

AND THE FUCKING MICROTHUMPINATOR!!!! It's a motherfucking volume/frequency cut. That's it. That is all that fucking thing is. A fucking cut pedal. Holy fucking shit. $180 for a fucking volume/freq cut. What. The. Fuck.

And the stupidest shit....I bought it. I had it once. I drank the fucking kool-aid and bought it. Thank God someone bought it from me at a very high price. Don't get me wrong, I believe in the pedal. Building these fEARful cabs, I kinda want one to protect them from the subsonic monster. I would totally go for one if it were $50....like it's worth.

Fuck that shit.
