Actually doing work where I'm not actually doing anything is awesome. I don't feel bad about being paid and I get to kick it like snoop.

I just sang this song to my girlfriend, but she didn't really appreciate it (to be fair, she's sick and has a killer headache right now as one of the symptoms..)
(sung to the melody of Farmer in the Dell)
I've got a new pedal in the mail
I've got a new pedal in the mail
I've got a new pedal in the mail
And it is called the FUCK.

Nasum! First and only time in Australia. So farkin' ridiculously excited.
Driving 4hours to get there, seeing them, then driving 4hours home, all this straight after a 9hr shift. Going to be hectic, but so fucking good.

Seriously, I wrote some of the best shit when I was using Reason. I need to get a PC that will run it again.
Iron and Wine - Naked as We Came Remake (Short remake of one of my favorite songs.)
[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/archangel1024/naked-as-we-came-backing-track[/soundcloud]
Untitled pretty thing that's way too long
[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/archangel1024/bleeps-and-bloops[/soundcloud]
Untitled thing that's just awesome
[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/archangel1024/12-15-10-2-temporary-finished[/soundcloud]
Another really beautiful untitled thing (Give this one a full listen, the chorus parts are gorgeous. I think it's my favorite.)

Sorry for songspamming, but I was going through these, and man, these few tracks still stand out as awesome.

Today's been a great day. I woke up checked the job board on campus, found a job that I'm qualified for, applied, got interviewed (probably the weirdest fucking interview of my life), wrote a 300 word essay on the music in Suspiria, went to an iron and wine concert, got half-price sushi at a kareokee bar, and stayed up till three in the morning singing 80's classics with a bunch of new friends. Fucking yeah

Out of the house for the day, spending time at the library that Kate works at, so I can look into college junk for the semester.

Next to my office is a theater. During the summer, they close off the block and have free outdoor concerts. They did only 1 per year in the past, but this summer they put on 8. Tonight is one of the last concerts.
The cool thing is that we can just open up all the big windows in our 2nd-story office and listen to the concert, drink our own (cheaper but better microbrew) beer, etc.
Here's the stage being set up right now:

The band that is playing tonight is STEPHEN KELLOGG & THE SIXERS
http://www.sk6ers.com/Edit: There's a Fender Princeton reissue hiding behind the banner on the right, and they haven't gotten the guitars out yet.
Edit edit: They're tuning up. Pedals out.

Set out a budget/plan for the next month. I'll have to be really stingy but if I can make tuition by the end of September I will have a whole bunch of stress off my plate. Then I can just focus on school.
Hooray for being proactive instead of hiding from my life!
