These sort of marches (kkk, Nazi wannabes, etc.) have been going on for decades; nothing new here; watch old Geraldo Rivera shows ... the media has done more to hype them than the actual promoters of the marches themselves; as for the confederate statues, I think the issue of them existing should be a local issue; going to those towns/cities and tearing them down or forcing the locals to tear them down will probably result in the opposite effect; antagonizing/demonizing populations will result in them hardening their position and/or finding recruits who otherwise would have been apathetic to the statues/icons - this is true for all groups that believe they are targets; compromise and get along

I edited this because I watched the first one and it really was a tragedy. It's hard not to laugh at a crying Nazi, but the whole thing was pretty horrific.

As for Jason Kessler whining about his First Amendment rights, everybody is entitled to free speech, but nobody is entitled to an audience. If your fellow citizens don't like what you have to say, they are not under any obligation whatsoever to put up with it.

Vice always does a great job on their videos. The representatives of the alt-right may have done more to ruin their cause with this rally than if they had just stuck to internet trolling. There will be another one in Texas A&M pretty soon. There will be counter-protests too; hopefully, the authorities will be better prepared.
