Totally thought of you when I snagged this, Schnikes. That beautiful, aged Pelham Blue jam of yours, specifically. Old finishes are best finishes.

Agreed. hard to beat a nice vintage finish. The checking on yours is sooooo good. I have an Arctic White Jazzy with checking but it's not as awesomely visible as yours.

Speaking of new guitars, I finally found a Jeff Tweedy locally for a reasonable price and snagged that mofo. The guy had already swapped the pickups with Wolfetones, a Dr. Vintage in the neck and Marshallhead in the bridge and man this guitar screams, loving it. The satin unfinished neck is the greatest. And the Blue Mist finish is gorgeous in person, definitely different than Pelham, darker and more subtle when compared side by side.

Thanks, samzadgan! Always liked the look of those Tweedy's. Nice score, Schnikes. I want one of those Zappa Roxy SG's…..

Thanks dudes! The Tweedy is badass, a real shame they only made like 300 before discontinuing and making prices skyrocket. Finding one for a decent price took me over a year but it was well worth the wait.

Great scores on the last page, guys! I really like those Tweedy SGs, especially the neck finish and the long Vibrola - too cool. And the Jag looks very cool, kosta - finish checking reminds me a lot of my 67 SG Jr.

Woahhhhh the checking on that jag is so rad! Wish mine was nitro so one day it would look like that :p
Another big fan of the tweedy sg here, one of the few gibbons that gets me going

Thanks for all the love, dudes. I'm a little bit beside myself that this guy actually lives with me now… One more shot of the checking for those so inclined.

That Tweedy SG is super sexy Schnikes!

Kosta, I'm so jealous of that Jaguar. That checking is just gorgeous. I'd love to get my hands on a cool Jag like that some day.

Me either honestly but I saw a Tweedy in person a couple years back at Chicago Music Exchange and fell deeply in love. That satin wood stained neck, that color, that vibrola/tailpiece! I beat the GAS that day but then they sold out and discontinued and GAS was reignited. Finally extinguished.
