I wonder how much overlap there is between the House Amp and the Yard Sale. House Amp seems more tweakable.
Has anyone run across this thing?
It's from a year and a half ago, and their Instagram says they were in prototyping stage at that point. They seem to be focusing on a web-based music studio concept: https://heardsounds.com/

I heard Alec max out all the but the freq knob on an IG story & was/is/am sold, though I will also be going pedge once my ILFMAS assignment arrives, which will probably happen the same day this goes live (Friday!)
Also, it's purple, so

This sounds eerily similar to my malfunctioning EHX Mel9 that I ditched quite rapidly many moons ago, so props to these ppl for keeping that dream alive

Yeah, the concept is pretty fancy and technical--real time "timbre replacement"--but the actual sound of it is more like triggering a Casio, which I can already do with my Sonuus pitch-to-MIDI converter. Making a banjo sound like strings is pretty corny, but it seems like if the project comes to fruition there could be unintended artifacts that could be more interesting. What would happen if you tried to make traffic noise sound like strings?
I don't know who Holly Herndon is, but the only aspect of this project that's available to the public right now is "Holly+" (https://holly.plus/), where you can upload audio and it will be converted to sound like her voice. Supposedly. I uploaded a couple things and they just came out sounding like boring nonsense. Again, I guess it's conceptually interesting (deepfakes and the nature of reality and such) but the actual sound of it is pretty wack.

I never seem to line up money/time/opportunity with pedal drops.
My best success rates are with flotsam/jetsam washing ashore the object-beach of the uninflated secondary market waters.
But this Line Blur is of interest. Purple phosphoresces that interest into a warm, intriguing, crepuscular glow.

a new pedal using an stm chip in this economy? i guess that's why it's so expensive but wow, i wonder where they buy parts haha...
The builder just said on Instagram that Ribbons will be limited to 150 units because that's all he has parts for, and there probably won't be any more because the lead time on the chip is over a year.
I still go for my old mxr 6 band eq for simple tone sculpting but I am kinda curious about this because it has also some preamp-usage. Too bad all the demos I saw are focused on shoegazey sounds (basically skipped through 3 demos in 10 minutes while having lunch so I might be wrong)

In the first reveal of the day, Arturia is unveiling a MiniFreak for $600. Is this another dumb decision by Arturia?
They've upgraded from 4-voice paraphonic to 6-voice polyphonic. (nice) However, you've got a MicroFreak with a unique keyboard for $349....now you want people to pay an extra $250 for crappy slim keys? I wish they would've found a middle ground, because I hate those small slim keys. I really enjoy their soft synths, but their upgrade policies are garbage. You buy something for $500 and a year later you're paying >$200 to stay current. In a few years, you've paid $1,100 or so, while newbies are allowed to come in on a holiday discount for $400. If you're going to ask your longtime customers to sustain you, then there should be free soundpacks and other perks. It's such a bullshit way of doing things.
I don't think this is Arturia's last reveal of the day, and I've seen rumors of a VST version of the MicroFreak & other possibilities (hardware sequencer updates).

I don't have an account, so I can't see signatures. What does it say under TVK's name?
