Don't have anything that's coherent enough to pass on, but here's the Eno article that piqued my interest:

We should do an ILF Collab of In C, incidentally.
The Eno interview I was referencing can be found here:

Jesus doesn't work like that, Brands.

Yeah, you can't just ask for stuff. You need to ask for perspective so then you will know if you should get one (yes you should get one)

On a related note: I didn't bring this up during the talk with DOSS and Spacelordmudder, but aleatoric music is more in my wheelhouse when I actually make my own stuff. There are elements of generative/systemic music with hard limits/rules, but then there are parts/voices that are determined by chance. The 'alea' is a latinate word for 'dice,' I think. Ditto for stochastic tunes (I have a tune called 'The Markov Chain' kicking around somewhere). Talked about some of this stuff in this thread:

Hey SLM, is it hard to add a stomp.... I know it was mentioned but I'm on mobile and rewinding back seems like more frustrating rn

Rules AND chance you say?Invisible Man wrote:On a related note: I didn't bring this up during the talk with DOSS and Spacelordmudder, but aleatoric music is more in my wheelhouse when I actually make my own stuff. (I swear the interface is really easy once you know how/what it's doing)
Add a stomp for true bypass or for some function? True bypass is a little tricky (not that I have done it) as you have cut board traces in order to intercept the signal to put it through the switch. Just a general stomp as button (which could also turn an effect or patch on/off) isn't too hard as the board has all the i/o pads along the edge so it's just a matter of connection to a pin and a ground.Brandsmannen wrote:Let me try things.Invisible Man wrote:Jesus doesn't work like that, Brands.

Yeah, I mean, if you guys haven't fucked with Noatikl you're missing out. You can try it for free in a DAW or standalone for 30 days. Highly recommended, especially as with familiarity you can warp some of the new-age-iness in some beautifully dark directions.
Monome/Push/etc. are still beyond my scope. I need assigned (even very loosely applied) parameters to really turn off my conscious mind when recording something, even if I'm giving it away to chance.

I haven't played with Push, but it's basically a dedicated Ableton controller, yeah? Monome is very different. It does take a little getting your head around each app, but most of them are pretty intuitive once you work with them a bit.D.o.S. wrote:Monome/Push/etc. are still beyond my scope. I realized just now that I have a true bypass looper thing. Not that this would've been a deciding factor, I was just thinking hah

Whats up with the recording? I can't hear much and when I do it choppy. Is this just me?

It works for me obviously. DoS recording is good for preserving the mystique but that's the only issue I think

Huh, It works fine on my phone but on my desktop it is all glitchy and choppy. It would probably very much appreciated here.
