Ryan, what are those trimpot for?

The trimmer in the upper left corner is for setting the brightness of the on/off LED... mostly for me since different LEDs sometimes need different values of resistance and rather than futz with changing smd resistors it's easier to just trim it... plus it lets users turn the brightness down a bit if they want.

The next trimmer down, a little south and east, is for dialing in the rate control for a smooth sweep, this is a utility one that people shouldn't need to mess with it.

The 4 all together at the bottom of the board are two pairs for left and right. The bottom ones set the bias for the delay line, shouldn't need touched after I set it. The upper ones set the input level of the delay line... I'm gonna leave these turned all the way up but the user could turn them down if they found the wet signal overloading, and then turn the volume knob on the pedal up to compensate.

I'll put little red sharpie marks on all my trimmer settings so curious people can twiddle and then return to a safe place.

As far as progress goes, we're waiting for production quotes now for the boxes and pcbs and from there we'll know how much the pedal will cost and a reasonable estimate of when I'll be able to start making them.

Love the trimmer for LED brightness! Never had this problem with any of your pedals, but I have owned some others in the past with blinding LEDs. Ryan you really do think of everything.

I've had brightness complaints before... I do love bright LEDs! But an LED has to be pretty bright anyway to be look normal in bright fluorescent lighting like a store or outside in the sun. For the new Cosmi I'm gonna always use 10mm milky LEDs, I love how they look, the big warm glow, and they're always visible and never too bright. In my opinion.

As far as I know it's going to completely replace it, as did the updates and second versions of the other Dr. Scientist pedals. If you're not interested in the updated features of the third version, many people will no doubt be trying to sell their V2, myself included, in order to pay for this. So grab one of those if you're interested. You'll have a whole host of varying finishes to choose from. I think I bought mine when Ryan was still doing the original style finishes, which varied from piece to piece and were quite time-consuming, as I remember.

Damn, that's a tidy board. I could never use something like that myself at home. It would be a perfect gigging board, though, 'cause it would just stay way out of your way. I keep swapping and changing my pedals around all the time with what I own, and I'd never have the patience to wire everything up super neat again every time I messed about with a new pedal/sound.

Same here. I do commend that tidiness, I bet it feels awesome not fighting with cords everywhere, but I swap pedals out all the time too!

It's not so bad if you have regular-sized pedals and a Pedaltrain type of board where you can tuck the wires and cables underneath, but there are a few 'weird' ones there that force you to group them in such a way that all empty spaces are filled.

Yeah. I've been getting away okay with my PTJr for a while now. I wish I had the consistency with my setup to ziptie haha
