Flangers, filters or phasers...as long as it goes woooooosh
I'm sold.

The previously suggested features (Through-Zero Flanging, "bounce" feature in the delay-line) all sound cool, but what about Filter Matrix?
I always liked the fact that the MXR and EHX flangers could "freeze" the sweep, to get these weird, clangy, metallic tones without the 'swoosh'.

Have a second footswitch for freezing the flange wherever you stopped it

So maybe blend, regen, manual, speed, depth, and waveform? I think a squarwave flange would be pretty awesome, like a step flange. And maybe a toggle for inverting the flange so it can get some ada type tones too.

Maybe a knob that controls the temperature of the sun?

I think a Manual control is more useful than the filter matrix switch and performs a simmilar job, the A/DA can definitley get those Metallic tones with it, the Odd/Even switch i'm not too fussed about, it's nice but nothing I found detrimental to any sounds. Although with the option of a TZF line perhaps a three way switch for Flanger, TZF Flanger and Fixed TZF Line could work for the Filter Matrix Tones.

Anyway... think this project is a long ways off while Ryan Re-Does the rest of his line... unless you're breadboarding that schematic I sent you...?

Squarewave Flange could be cool, although perhaps not entirely neccessary, HyperTriangle may sound more "musical".

This is basically what I sent to Ryan in the schematic, thanks to some clever DIYers making it possible to convert the old elecrtic mistresses to use MN3007 chips and some old work on the subject... a TZF Electric Mistres should soon be a possibility with an add on board and could indeed be switchable.

I didn't think Ryan was into cloning/adapting other peoples pedals.

He's not, just a bit o' fun! Just saying the idea is out there to accomplish such a thing... will just be a DIY project.

I wouldn't have a go at anybody's flanger pedal if I were to do one, but I would want to check out a few and get a good impression of who makes what sounds and all that. Did you breadboard that Electric Mistress yet, Pete? I haven't but that's a fun project waiting to happen right there!

It's true though, this is a long way off.. our goal for the next year will be to get our line fully decked out feature wise and then have the boards and boxes made for us like with the miniberators. Plus The Elements, love to get that done this year too.

When the day comes for a flanger though you can count on us all having a big long talk about it!
