I had the original and really liked it but I try to keep my board filled with stereo effects, for the fucked up multi-amp system I've been exploring for a long time now. Which brings a question: If a rabbit hole becomes your life, is it still a rabbit hole?
But I thought the OG Mood was a lot of fun, so happy they are coming out with a stereo version. Would love to get a VST version too, since half my setup now is off the computer.

New mood looks cool- I never tried the original but hey maybe nows the time.
haven't posted for a long while, but i do lurk.
Very cool...to see you post here...and the new Mood. I expect to get around to Mood II once the pre-order madness subsides. I adore these deep pedals. They are so entertaining and help explore new sides of music. I appreciate what you bring to the world. I'm super into my Habit at the moment, but will always love Mood, Blooper, and Gen Loss and look forward to what's next.
IG comments say the Kickstarter units will be around $500 USD (well...500 euros, I mean), but, boy, is that thing

I saw the Chompi and I’m actually very tempted. Seems like it does a lot of what I want out of a sampler/looper thing. I might actually sell my Organelle, which I never use, to fund it

AudioThing is launching a multi-tap BBD plugin. The Carlsbro Mantis is a fairly rare unit, that's a bit like a bucket brigade version of the Binson Echorec. In a pre-Soundgas world, these units were in the $180-250 range, but good luck finding one for under $600 now, unless you were to locate a scuffed unit in a European pawnbroker's junk closet. If you're a fan of the Maxon delays, this should be able to do a fairly close approximation.
Launch price is $39, and there's a free demo available. (Mac, Windows, Linux) I would expect an iOS version shortly.
If you FF to about 3:20, you can hear the Swell slider being engaged. That's where these shine IMO---that ghostly wave of feedback and modulation sitting underneath the echoes.
Speldosa is the result of a unique collaboration between Klevgrand and the Swedish artist Wintergatan/Martin Molin. Wintergatan has primarily worked in the physical world (the Marble Machine is probably the most astonishing example), while Klevgrand has performed its craft within the digital sphere. When these two worlds now meet, it results in a product that both visually and audibly inspires the creation of music that you didn’t know you had in you.
Speldosa (Swedish for "Music Box") is the essence of the shared beliefs of Klevgrand and Wintergatan, and their fascination with minimalism. A simple melody played on a music box can contain an equal amount of emotional power as any symphonic work. There is something about the music box sound that never ceases to fascinate.
I'm running Tombola (free M4L sequencer sourced from the OP-1) to control Speldosa and some pianos/brass. Everything is being forwarded through Mantis. It's a nice way to spend the morning.
Saw that. Skipped coffee this morning to pay for it but now I'm wanted for crimes unspoken. Should have gotten the coffee anyway.

Seems like EMG has had these in development for awhile, but the last line of Squier Contemporarys w/ actives showed up first, and seems like a better choix 4 frügs like meself
The eventual course would be to equip a standard JM with the Fishman USB plugg, but I keep seeing ads for battery packs for those shizz so maybe just more Activated SQRS 4 nao
However, most of those Contempo Squiers are basically EVH styled take-offs (not a complaint!), and are around the prix of juan EMG loaded activate pickguard, give or take your modus/aversion to pre-owned.
I can't think of an actual Fender with actives aside from the Jim Root (there he is!), so maybe Fender proper will take the plunge eventually, but I really doubt it. I don't really know who buys 2-3K Fenders these days (shoutout 2 litigators!), but for that scratch? I'd rather bee Ernie Ballin'

In the 1980s, the electronic musical instrument 'Omnichord' gained tremendous popularity among gadget-loving music lovers for its quirky look and tone. We have been receiving requests to resurrect the Omnichord for a long time. And this year, 2023, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Suzuki Musical Instruments Manufacturing, we will reproduce the Omnichord! It is scheduled to be released around the fall of 2023. We will update the information on this page from time to time.
Omnichord's successor, the QChord, is still produced ($480 new), so I'm curious if this will be an undeniably-improved Omnichord, or just another overpriced cheese machine. If it's getting a proper reboot, you'd love to have new sounds, maybe a few built-in effects and pricing at $300-400. If it's as digital and harsh as other starter instruments in the $100-500 range, this could end up just being a Reverb.com price-gouging affair for inflated junk.

After a leak on Reddit, Walrus has confirmed they have a budget/introductory line in the works. There are at least 8 effects in development. The next NAMM show is April 13th, so maybe we'll hear some audio then.
