I'm not sure I have the patience or attention span to learn to use things like this in a productive manner.

Looks like fun though!

Samples is so good, tbh. Especially to pick up and play at your desk during isolation.

Some of the pre-release overviews of this box are misleading about the LFO. They just say "con, there is only one lfo" but don't address you can assign each trigger its own lfo shape, speed, depth, multiplication, AND what parameter it is modulating. You can have one lfo per step. Which is a huge difference to me. I plan on making a video, for those like me who don't read all the way through the manual.

Yeah that is a big difference.

I watched a video today and I'm put off by the fact it doesn't accept polyphonic midi input. I can understand the practical reasons why but it seems a real shame in a box that has multiple polyphonic options

it's got a pretty consistent workflow once you get how they think. i'd spend time thinking of things to try and finding the shortcut in the manual? that's what always helps me. just tapping out a beat then looking up how to set retrig, do that few times till it sticks, then try to think of something else i want her to do? it's such a fun box though.

all sounds Cycles. i'd say Even The Cat Is Antsy From The Quarantine but... she's always an adorable little asshole.

As a newcomer to grooveboxes besides the volca series and the extremely simple akai tom cat, it's pretty intuitive. As long as you don't get hung up on making a creatively satisfying beat right out the box you'll be good. Make some basic beat and go through the manual to see how you can make it more interesting.

I think what I still struggle with most is trying to the on the fly adjustments some people are able to do, they never sound good when I do them lol. I am more of a program it and forget it kinda guy I'm guessing.
