Still using MS Paint to design enclosure graphics in 2020. Respect.
BTW Dandolin thank you again for steeriing me right on buying an Arion SFL-1 (actually $66,66 in tandem with a SAD-1) that thing is AWESOME. Seems the depth sets the focus of the sweep and manual sets the peak freq.
Either way, devours the sound in a very lo-fi way, and is I guess slurpy, phasery, but cold... Vibrato-like at high speeds even. IDK it's just good, but take that from a guy who has owned 0 flangers before now.

cool! yeah, in the past I was a little reluctant to look too closely @ the Arion line because of the over-hype on the chorus, but a little research into the circuit plus cheepnis lead to a good result on the flanger - it's now one of my faves. A lot of the 80s Japanese modulation pedals can tend to cluster around similar tones (which is just fine, since they are good tones), but there are exceptions like that Arion which
Excellent wordings on the toanz description, btw- I concur.
and lol MS Paint - after too long gasing for yet-to-be-released things, there's a twisted corner of my gear soul that pines for a pedlol that captures that MS Paint look irl. From the looks of it, though, Buffalo FX mainly puts out relatively understated realistic 3D objects, so that itch will go unscratched even if I cave to Reticon GAS....

gonna necro this just to say that the modulated delay on the eventide timefactor is a pretty bitchin' flange when you set the lfo to sweep the delay lines in opposite direction

playin' some OG PSpec flange jawn in the pizza joint while I wait for my eggplant.... Tape flange as always sounded better to me than almost all non-McGeoch flange, and all the through-zero shenanigans in the world don't change that.
Won't stop me from buying more flangers though

Pretty tempted now to get a sharpie and turn mine into a St Anger.
