I sold my FX33 ages ago so I'll not be in the position to A/B, but I do feel like discrete topologies break up in a different way than the IC based stuff - so I feel it's safe to say it'll be a far cry from a clone. But, it'll probably surf in a lot of the same lagoons, if you know what I mean.

Oh it WAS! And it WAS very cool regardless. I "think" it was better the tech did it as (excuse me) there was no pretense to it.

I'm actually terrified of Robert Fripp. Like during the show the guy in front of me got his ass HAULED OUT for filming the show with a GoPro. He does not fuck around. Imagine building him a pedal?

He uses a lot of Eventide racks. I was going to link the video but now I can't find it??? I only see the trailer on Premier Guitar. Did I 1. Hallucinate the entire rig run down? 2. Watch a video that was taken down (this has happened many times). 3. Maybe could search a little harder and find it.

Regardless, Tony Levin... (this actually came out 2 years ago but the algorithm only fed me it a couple days ago...)

You shouldn't be. Robert is actually super cool and funny. You just need to not do stupid shit around him, or disrespect his process.

Regarding his process... I've always been a huge fan. I think he's the best. That said... I can't be the only one who find the guitar craft concerts pretentious and laughable. That's more a reflection of my own insecurities than him though.
