Combo FZ-2/HM-2 would be swell, but isn't the Angry Drive a thing at all because the Blues Driver & Angry Charlie share overlapping topology of some sort? I really found that thing to be soooooo pandering, but the OG Blues Driver was always enuff 4 me
But separating each of the Boss circuits would mean they could trick out either a little more (a la the Dimension C), but also many buxxxx
I guess we'll have to wait until next year (may the market get so swole that notJohnHornbySkewscompany clones the LHW with a curious Precious Moments angel painted on the enclosure (MSRP $299))

Is paying $130 for a Taiwanese HM-2 just too bitter a pill to swallow for you fellas?
I loved my HM-2 just like a bunch of you guys do, but barely anyone outside our little jizz cave here cares about them.
Same with the RE-20. Suddenly everyone wants a Waza version of it, according to your research? I've seen exactly eight of these on boards at shows over the last 10 years, including my board.

RE20 reverb is garbage, and Id imagine there are quite a few who don't like the fact that the pedal is always on, messing with your toanz whether you like it or not. A reissue would only be worthwhile if it was in a compact package though.
I've never understood the need for a waza FZ-2 though. They'd cost the same or more than the originals, and how would you waza it up?

I think the RE-20 models the Roland RE-201, which has a plinky, short-spring reverb tank.
I find it to be useful in its plinkiness because if there was too much splash on initial attack,
then the distinction between initial note and the repeats wouldn't be as great. I just wish it
had more delay time. Other than that, I have no problems with the RE-20 at all.
Of course I got my RE-20 for $150 Canadian, which, at the time, was around $110 US.

I love both my MIJ HM-2 (that was well under three bills a couple years back when I realized I needed one again outside of the rackmount GL-100s) and the RE-20.
If I was to do a RE-20W, it'd have a RE-301 mode. The 501/555 preamp sucked, and the chorus was not as good either on any I ever played, and I tried - it was the only way to get parts back in the pre-internet 90s was to scrap them off other units, and I would buy a few every other month because the tape heads and motors etc were 100% compatible. So add a switchable 'sound on sound' like the 301 and the chorus, bingo.

Though I don’t own an RE-20 anymore, agreed x10000. The one thing I don’t love about the RV-500 Space Echo is that it’s just not as gross as the RE-20 gets

I dunno how they'd find a way to include all the RE-20 features in a smaller BOSS pedal format without having some stupid "hold the stomp down for 2 seconds to engage tap tempo functionality" thing or just omitting certain features altogether...

I don't see why holding down a stomp to engage tap tempo is stupid (2 seconds is too long though). Delays aren't usually an effect you turn on and off in rapid succession anyways, so why not have dual functions for the bypass switch?

RE-200 would be a perfect format for a reissue.
And friendships post is gold.
