What about the Hughes & Kettner warp factor? Its stupid gain (stupid headroom) and nobody bought it cause it had a weird PSU and was made for nu metal tones
imagine finding out your son is your daughter & she's into noise music
It's also kinda yuge. There are mods to re-introduce a lil mids into the thing and reclaim it from Nü City. I had a modded one and liked it a lot...the bass boost was an actual bomb.

Wow that thing is friggin’ HIDEOUS - I thought their amps looked tacky!!
There’s one for $50 locally on reverb. I *may* start looking at videos.

I have no idea what the eqs are like.

I forgot to come back to this thread. Looking at a Rocktron Metal Planet now. Wow this is just like me (trashy and cheap).
Also was suggested a Line 6 Uber Metal - I want one!
Another one I had for a spell (the Uber Metal). It's legit, especially with that noise gate. If I could get that circuit in a higher quality, more standard format, I'd be all over it.
Haven't heard the DOD Death Metal. I'll have to be on the lookout for one.
I use the Fab Tone, and it's face-melting. You don't even need the guitar. Just turn on the Fab Tone with everything set to max, and you're all set.
I also use the Digitech Death Metal, mentioned above, which is really nice. I use it with tonnes of reverb for a sort of Psychocandy-ish sound. Sometimes I just use it with the JC chorus to make... bird sounds? using feedback.
