Only thing I got I don't like is the MXR Phase 95. Doesn't sound great on bass. Bought it without trying it from a coworker. I'll eventually flip that when I stop being lazy. I want the new Dunwich Phaser. I actually got to try that and it is thick enough to handle bass.

I learned aluminum necks are heavy as fuck and don't really do it for me. The flip paid for a vacation though so no hard feelings. I also went from 100-ish watts of toob amp to 15 watts and I'm not sorry. Man I sound old and lame.

I tried to include the stuff that I didn't immediately like in my list by mentioning that I either sold or traded it. Everything else that I kept, I am actively using and liking a lot. Except the QuNexus, but that's up for sale. And I guess maybe the Mescaline, jury is still out on that one. And there's only one thing I flipped that I regret; the Mother 32.

Game changer audio plus pedal (also a game changer for me actually  )
Dual broadcast + mini-matrix mixer (with the aforementioned epsilon) for total CV madness. This was 2016's "2017 project" and it came to pass, and all was well.

Glitch, expensive knobs, disgusting Boss and DOD stuff, FM synthesis, fresh guit... and a dual muff from an IG giveaway!

For reference, my goals of 2017:
Disarm D'arcy wrote:For me the general idea is to keep things quiet like this year and the previous one, for the sake of savings and building security for when I'm out of school.

I've recently found the second amp I want (something low maintenance, sounds great clean, handles the VI, maybe stereo ins, light and small so I can carry it around quick), and it's gonna be a JC-40. I'm in the process of downsizing stuff, mostly old cables and DIs and maybe my old monitors... All stuff from back when I contributed to gearing up a rehearsal space that will help pay for that.

I'm gonna probably flip one or two less used pedals to expand a little. The list of stuff I want, for now, looks like that. Will have to be funded by the flips and maybe my birthday gift. Need to keep frugal. And the rest will wait for next year.
MASF Possessed
MASF Raptio (should replace the freeze on my board, so might probably flip that as well)
Ezhi&Aka Moomindrone
Dr. Scientist BitQuest
Bananana Effects Growl 567
This list might evolve depending on what satan (well Vidret) has gotten me. Obviously might have to take into account possible redundancies, though I guess what he got me isn't a pedal.

There's still a couple of things I need to do around the guitars as well. Selling or keeping my Les Paul comes back to mind constantly. I love it but don't play it that much. I'd like to polish a few details like finding good looking knobs for Squier JMJM, fix the battery clip thing that I broke in my J-200... Really long term (beyond 2017 I guess), I'm thinking maybe a cheap telecaster that I could keep around for downtuned and open tunings playing, with bigger strings so it still sounds cool. Also, if Squier ever releases a VM XII, I'll jump on it.

That's about it for now.
I got the JC, the glitch situation sorted and a guitar for alternative tunings. That's kinda cool!
I also did really well on the savings front as I sold quite a lot of gear. I feel 2017 was pretty successful gear wise.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

What do you think of that Roland Jazz Chorus? I’m thinking about getting one so I can have an amp that’ll play well with my guitar/synth, and be loud enough to play with other people.

Those were pretty much the deciding factors for me. Also I just love the JC clean - I love clean sounds.

The JC-40 was the best option, especially against vintage ones as they are rather pricey here, quite heavy and don’t have true stereo ins. The RI is excellent.

I bought a JC-40 after D'arcy, and I can't recommend it enough. It's so loud. So, so loud. Punishingly loud. It's ridiculous honestly. Love that thing. Supreme amp.
