My thoughts.

But I think this Muff is aimed at SP fans who don't read gearslutz or other geek forums.

Like the worlds needs more cherub rock demos :picard:

I can't believe I'm saying this, but...I might get this. Fucking nostalgia fucking with my SP-loving but EHX-hating mind! GAAAH!!

True. But having worked at a guitar store, customers looking for that alternative rock sound will hear its the smashing pumpkins sound in a box and it would be an easy sell. Like I said before, if this came out when I was sixteen I would be on it in a heart beat. This is a smart move as a pedal company IMO. Easy profit.

Fu Manchu use super fuzzes not big muffs. Also the pedal isn't going to have BC's name on it. They just asked his opinion on the sound or something like that which he did for free because he's such a fan of the EHX/Op-Amp muffs.

I see. I'm not the biggest Fu Manchu fan or anything, for some reason I just associate their sound with muffs :idk:
Interesting though, I wouldn've never guess their main dirt came from the superfuzz. It's got to be stacked with something else though, right? :idk:

If anything, it doesn't make sense that everyone and their mother was building ic muffs, while electro-harmonix was coming up with awefull looking tap tempo pitch shigting flange synths and...a klon klone :idk:

So yeah, if they don't focus their marketing too much towards Smashing Pumpkins fans, I guess it makes sense to give the big public (anyone who doesn't know/vare about/quality/booteek IC muff type circuits) the chance to finally buy an EHX opamp BMP without the price tag that comes with a rare/vintage unit :idk:
