Been getting heavily into stuff like this from work, as well as the funkier psychedelic side of rock and pop music from india. So anything more like this and what I described would be killer. This is super jammin.

This was very cool. Listened to a "recorded live" set on the way home today. http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/88424
The band is SONGHOY BLUES. They are from Mali and per usual with most of Western Africa, the back story is fascinating (tribes in exile, territorial disputes, borders, corruption etc.)
