Also, random thought, I prefer reading about and thinking about THE CREMASTER CYCLE to actually watching it. I don't know how much those movies sold for on home video but I can tell you it was too goddamn much!

I am yet to see Ana Lily Amirpour's follow up THE BAD BATCH but that is the film I have wanted to see most this year. I heart Keanu and Jim Carey so the fact they are in it sold me, let alone this new auteur's work.
I know I posted about it in other threads but Refn is one of those directors whose films 'I don't love' but I'm glad someone is out there making them...that said...ONLY GOD FORGIVES is a masterpiece.
The three of us have many similar favorites.
Eivind, not a lot of people list DOGVILLE as a favorite. Another masterpiece! I think I slightly prefer MANDERLAY. Regardless...I NEED...WASINGTON to come out ASAP.
