I have the same sort of MO for selling as DoS--I'm a hippie at heart about a lot of things.

But the reissues of those looked just like the origs?
I have an original one... gotta say that the reissue I played sounded a little more tamable, which is probably a good thing. I love the sound of mineāit's one of the most chaotic, unruly fuzzes I've ever played and sounds like lovely godfarts on its own, but it completely disappears as soon as you play it in a band. Uncanny.
Yeah I know, but it's not in production right now! Actually might be buying a reissued on Monday. I hear to mod away the volume drop is really easy

The thing about pedals that are hard to find is if it's essential to your sound and breaks you're fucked. I'd prefer my rarer pedals were easier to replace. I don't care if every person in the world has one also.

It's not the
size rarity that matters, it's how you use it?

OK deal...cash up front but you can only have it after I'm done with it.

This is also true.

It's the reason why, with synth music stuff, i'm tryna move away from vintage gear to shit that is out right now. I loved my 80s analog and hybrid synths, but there's plenty of great shit out right now that is affordable, and replace-able if it breaks.

Yeah the maintenance issue is another balancing act to walk with special gear. Although some hard-to-find pedals & gear are more easily resurrected than others...I also don't feel good about making rare birds into cornerstones. Certainly not for any touring/gigging. Keeping them in the studio is another thing, but not many people can afford to tie up budget in money-pits.

Which is why on pedals I found clones that were as good or better as my actual rare items in advance, and have full schems of the modern ones on hand in case the ones I had built go toast.
There's only a couple that are absolutely essential, but I can have them churned out by a couple different people without issue in the event of meltdown."
That said, I wouldn't have an original Space Echo if I couldn't do the routine maintenance on it.

I REALLY REALLY want a Test Pattern. is there anyone out there who builds them?

I had Godbox do my last successful one. I won't mention the people who failed publicly.
Killer is there wasn't a set schematic that was anywhere near accurate even in the Devisphere - it was at the transition to the last breakdown prior to Console.
I can PM you the modified schem we ended up going with (added a voltage starve, and used the SM with chaos and other switches that aren't in the original TP). Like any good piece of crazy, there's positions in the "improved" version that make no noise at all (but to be fair, in the original, one setting gets you nothing but pure oscillation or shortwave breakup in most of its range).

your godstomp one is what brought on the gas! I loved UG's video of his, I wonder what other kind of crazy shit your modded one does

Ironically, it does normal stuff as well, plus has a much lower noise floor baseline versus the OG. Sent stuff and explanation via PM.

I would also love to receive that PM if it's okay to ask? I kinda wanna build myself a few pedals as i'm selling off everything expensive, and I was kinda considering a Noise Swash or something that does the craziest oscillations and fuzz shit.
