Bauhaus was everything Bowie wasn't and could never be.
No problem dude... almost the same level for meInconuucl wrote:Here's one that'll get me stoned round these parts.
I like the Ocean more than Isis, and I think the Ocean's newer albums are better than their old shit.
I think The Greatest is the greatest when it comes to Cat Power and that Sonic Youth's Rather Ripped is solid all the way through.phantasmagorovich wrote:Chan Marshall shouldn't have sobered up. Everything past Covers Record 1 is garbage.
Sonic Youth did not release one album that is good front to end. That said, NYC Ghosts and Washing Machine are best, the rest clocking in somewhere between fun and horrible. I still love them.
Raw Power is best. (Most people I know irl like the eponymous best, on here Fun House seems to take the cake.)
The first Refused album is the best.

Here's one, Boris aren't so much an "album band" as they are a "discography band" (a Bowie, if you will). Even if you have a favourite album, or are able to sort out the releases into ones you love and ones you're more meh about, ultimately, what Boris album do you lend an uninitiated friend? They're all so different that it would just leave them with the wrong idea. You'd have to recommend two or three.SPACERITUAL wrote:UglyCasanova wrote:'New Album' is the best Boris album.
False, "noise" is.

Noise really is phenomenal, if too polished. I saw them on that tour and the songs were even better live. "Angel" is one of their best twenty-minute delay-fests.
