That would've been so sweet, holy shit. More fuzz need expression control and fancy stuff.

I don't think it's that tiny. I emailed that lovable bastard Joel a few weeks ago about an LFO out mod, and he politely declined. Which is understandable considering what's going on inside that pedal, but that doesn't make me want it less.

Which is also what separates the Gravitas and the Goatkeeper as pedals. While functionally, they are both amplitude modulation (the gravitas having that harmonic trem is a fat bonus), the Goatkeeper has a modular application that plays especially to we nerds of ILF. I have had to back off that shit recently so that I can learn to play guitar again and not dick around with pedals all night, which has brought me to the Gravitas with all its sexy modushapeexpressionrampingmidi shit.

While there will certainly be times that I miss that spiral waveform and modulating phaser sweep or ring mod frequency with it, I think that Gravitas has a freaky side that's gonna tickle my b-hole just the way I like.

With tap included it'd be a real beast.
hey man :). Thx for the kind words, very much appreciate it.

I never thought about it but ive definitely gotten a few emails about it.

This thread is making me want to do it. Probably should have a CV out, expression out, some way to sync to midi beat clock. The code is certainly all there

Unfortunately, the CME guy doesn't seem very mature and able to deal with his stutter. Makes some douchey facial expressions. What a dick.

I don't think those douchey faces have anything to do with Joel's stutter. They seem kinda normal for that guy. :D

(Gravitas sounds superb, btw, Joel. :!!!: )

I really enjoyed that demo. The back and forth between you two made it awesome. The little picking. haha

Any chance of a bass demo? I'd love to hear Excane demo. ;)
I could get into blocks of 10 to 20 seconds (sometimes more) back in the day. I've worked on it a lot. but not in the trying to be fluent way. in the accepting it, not avoiding it, and trying to do it in an easier more manageable manner kind of a way. different strokes for different folks.

Yeah, I got to get one excane's way. Sometimes I'm kind of bad about not getting demo pedals out to folks that aren't squeaky wheels and excane, bless his heart, hasn't been squeaky lately. But I need that low end... would be interesting to see what he did what the harmonic trem on bass.

Joel, I'm not quite sure what your comment means? Perhaps it's between you and Jeff but I'm not reading it right...Are you saying it's taking him longer to do demos? I just want to make sure I fully understand. The reason I asked it A)I love his demo's B)He's my business partner. So naturally I'm going to want to hear his perspective on the pedals as I find these trendy demos I've heard lately rather ehhhh not annoying, but not my style I guess? I can't gauge if I would use it based on the demos I've seen of your new pedals. No offense to the people doing the demos, but they are not my playing style.

Hell any bass demo would be great regardless of who does it. OR Kayzer would be great as well. His style is more mine, so I gauge a lot of purchases off of his demos. :)

Oh and to clarify. My commenting back isn't intended to be hostile, so if it seems as such, my apologies. Internet speaking is hard to use sometimes. haha.

I do like the look and abilities of all of your pedals so far. I had a Warped Vinyl and loved it, but got rid of it because of the lack of being able to use the dip switch on the bottom. These new versions look brilliant.

I do have a question though. Is there an overlap between trem and vibrato? I guess I'm not fully understanding the two? Like can the Warped Vinyl do similar sounds as the Gravitas and vice versa??? I'm actually serious. hahaha. I don't know the difference. Sorry for the ignorance!!

I appreciate you looking out for me, but I have to 100% disagree with this. Andrew and I got along great, we even talked about stuttering a bit. He's a super funny guy in person (and suuuuper filthy guitar player) - he hams it up a bit on the videos because most all CME videos have a comedic element to them. It's all in good fun, and his expressions have nothing to do with my stutter.

Hey man sorry I was not clear. Here's what I meant to say: I'm always behind on getting pedals to demo-ers, but often when I have a new pedal out I will get emails or facebook messages from guys that want to demo it. It's probably not fair of me, but sometimes I'll get pedals to those guys first just because its on my mind and I know they are jazzed to demo it. I just hadn't heard from Jeff so it wasn't immediately on my radar. I'll get in touch with him though because I love me some excane just as much as the next guy.

Totally my bad on the reply in regards to the stuttering content. For some reason it annoys me slightly when people say "don't worry about it, it's not that bad" just because 1) I'm generally not worried about it and 2) it was really hard at times in my life and sometimes still is so a comment like that just kind of diminishes the whole thing. Now that all said, I totally realize it is just folks trying to be nice, it actually is a nice thing to say. And I do appreciate the sentiment for sure.

Onwards to your last question. Warped Vinyl is a vibrato / chorus pedal that is able to do a very crude (but very pretty sounding) tremolo by ramping the volume up and down.

Gravitas, on the other hand, is a tremolo pedal where the waveform can be manipulated by my ModuShape engine. It also can do a 2nd tremolo (in a similar fashion to warped vinyl) - but beyond all that you can also do a harmonic tremolo which warped vinyl can't do.

The good news is my Gravitas got delivered. The bad news is that I forgot I had it delivered it to my office, and I took the day off today. And on top of that, I need to wait for it to go through all our mail security and office delivery system.

I guess I'll play with it on Monday.
