yeah, I saw that post in the other thread, congratulations. Never tried one with a control pedal. That should keep you happy for a while.
I think the Pedalflanger sounds fantastic. It's definitely limited in what it can do though. I've thought about getting a Chicago Iron repro. They are expensive.
If my Pedalflanger were currently functioning and if you weren't in Oz, I'd offer to loan it to you. I should get it fixed anyway though.

Danelectro Hash Browns Flangers are dirt cheap, don't sound bad, and are purple...in the right light.

I recently picked up a DOD FX75-B, and it has been mentioned before that it is great, so I'm just echoing that is good for the cheaps. Still, the AD/A flanger and its reissue are definitely what I considered (from watching Juan Alderete's video) to having that sound I'm looking for.

i swore i was done buying flangers after i got the 70s A/DA but i listened to a HBE Frostbite in person the other day and it sounded so damn good, soooo good.
i'm pretty sure its just a tweaked A/DA though and the company went under so they're not made anymore.

Yeah, the Frost Bite is an A/DA.
So, what're you playing through now?

A/DA is the probably nicest sounding overall but the behringer does some insane stuff and is actually the quietest one, the BF-2 i did the fromel mod but accidentally fried the new IC's so it's half-modded and self oscillates

, the yamaha sounds different enough to the A/DA that it's a keeper, then there's the AD190 at the top which i usually use for delay but the flanger is great too.
tissues on standby, of course.

5 Pages of flanger pedals and (unless I missed it) no mention of the Pearl Flanger?
Well it's no A/DA, but you can find them around $100 and sounds better than the offerings from Boss and DOD of that era.
It is not purple. It's black with blue highlights. You can tell your self it's a goth version of a chorus pedal if it makes you feel better.

Woooooah woah woah. You can't just run around posting guitars like that and not telling me what they are, mister...
