exactly this. instead of the frantic rush I have no doubt happens every time people get the urge to buy my contraptions, they can take their time, drink coffee, eat lunch, then hit send.

it's still not ideal, but well, hm. these fucking pedals DO take a bit out of me to build. :(
Don't apologize. You make rad shit.

yep, this. I have one, but it's dying. and they're harder and harder to find. it's my favorite delay, so I want to build my own interpretation of it. something that I can use reliably like a PDS8000, but with extra stuff.

a pds-killer would be a gift from heaven, seriously. Late 80s digital delays are my favourite type of delay pedal, but they're often temperamental and limiting (particularly loop-wise).

For realsies. If it has tap-tempo input too I won't be able to resist!

tap tempo would be pretty easy. also easy would be options to switch the secondary footswitch between hold, tap tempo and something else. reverse maybe.

late 80s, early 90s digidelays are the best! nice grainy loopers. I mean, I doubt I'll be able to recreate the exact audio character of the PDS because I don't know shit about tone (you don't see any sonic crayon ODs, do you)

I didn't mean to excite people too much. this is very much just a personal project at the moment.

no, for sure - hope I didn't come across like I was expecting one next week or anything, haha. Just really interested to see/hear how close you get and what changes you'll make.

Yeah, I just like seeing where things go. I wouldn't expect anything to be available for public consumption for another year or so; that is, assuming you end up creating a cool circuit that you'd feel like sharing.

Also, if I had the funds I'd definitely be poised and ready for the sale Saturday.

It's so easy to fuck up drilling 8 3mm leds in a row, and one of them's 1mm off. Likewise it's so easy to fuck up the painting (colors change as they dry), the decal application, the clear finish. And to fuck up the main big chip with 0.5 mm pin separation. I'm just not good with assembly line stuff. I would do it if it were my only job, my bread earner, but it's not. I make more than enough in my "real" job, so when I do these pedal batches, I have to force myself to do it. A week of "oh god, today I'll do this and this and this, and try not to rage".
next time you make cases i could cnc the hole pattern for you if you want. i think my machine is around the corner from where you work if you haven't changed jobs recently.

That'll have to do for the most desired shark tank collab in the meanwhile.

haha i'd barely call drilling some holes a collab.
