I also don't understand why it's ok to pay 100 dollars for a fuzz face, with what, 11 components, but it's inconceivable to pay three times that for a pedal infinitely more complicated, with way more current r&d costs to be recouped, and that has there presets, essentially allowing you three pedals, given the fact that you can modulate any parameter and save that setting. If I wanna switch between light fuzz and heavy fuzz I need to buy two fuzzes. It's not unreasonable to pay 150 bucks for a small scale manufactured fuzz. Bam - that's three hundred right there.

Yes it's pricey but there's an awful lot of evidence pointing to it being good value. Shit I was sceptical In the beginning and payed out Joel for the (incorrect) shipping, but this thread has made me really shed light on a lot of the questions I had and I think there's enough info in here that we can discuss more than the fact that it's pricey.
I'm not disputing how great an effect pedal it might be, nor would I argue with the relative case you make. I'm just saying, as a general thing, that for me £300 is too much money for a single pedal.

Why isn't anyone talking about how stupidly expensive this pedal is?

Mindboggling how everyone could ignore that dealbreaker.

What I find rich about this is that your signature has a link to your store... where you have a $300 two-knob fuzz pedal for sale. I'd say that $329 for a pedal with the complexity of parts, design, etc. of the Warped Vinyl is a screaming deal compared to that.

Just because a man works as a salesman in a high-end car dealership, that doesn't mean he can afford one of those cars.

They seem to sell them alright. Porsches have been in production for quite some time now.

I was thinking more Rolls Royce or Bentley with my analogy though, tbh.

A Porsche would be more like, say, um, Earthquaker Devices.

911s are very nice though.

I think it's priced fairly. The cosmichorus is $325 (vs $350 for the warped vinyl) and it doesn't have half as many features...

So it's been awhile, the hype has died down a bit. How are people digging this? I just paid off my bill me later, so obviously I need to use the 6 months same as cash again. Right?

I just picked one up this week after lusting for it since it came out. Never thought I would buy it, but after a few beers I went with it. Easily my best drunken purchase lol.

It sounds incredible, and I'll be finding new sounds out of it for a very long time. The ramp knob is soooo rad. I have one setting where the ramp time is super long, and I just click it on in the beginning of a new riff with the mix and depth increasing to max value; by the end it's all warbled and seasick and generally crazy sounding. I never thought I would spend $300+ on a pedal that wasn't a delay or a reverb, but this was well worth it.
