I just feel like Juan loves pedals and goes through demos really fast and really excited, which sometimes leads little thinking and demos that don't sound that great.
But some of his demos are great, like his demo with Brian for the SS/BS pedals
On the other hand, Andy puts a crazy amount of thought and time into his demos.

Here's the thing about Juan's pedals and my "muh dick" comment - Juan won't demo a pedal if it sounds like putrid ass on bass, which means this thing is usable on bass. Which means it's landing on my board once the funds come in.

I totally understand what you mean
I was still definitely excited by his demo, he could have just fine-tuned it a little

I like Juan's demo's but I feel he does too many where he just does a loop and fiddles with the nobs. I really like when they can put some thought into a nice setting and play something that accentuates that specific sound. When PGS Andy did the 5th Up setting on the Pitch Bay demo they sold me on it right there.

I also think that it kind of gets difficult showing off all of a pedals settings when things get complicated.
I mean a fuzz pedal is generally pretty straight forward, but something like the Pitch Bay is a little harder to demonstrate.

For sure. I can imagine it's pretty easy to make that pedal sound pretty bad.....

so I still have to make a full try out, but I'm really loving the pedal.
Since some may wonder about: I played it beside the Micro Pog and.... don't expect to get a CLEAN sound like the Pog does! You can get a similar polyphonic octave up/down effect but on the Root sound with the gain at minimum there's still a bit of grit from the gain circuit, you never have a completely clean sound. And I suppose people at Earthquaker designed the pedal with this feature in mind.
But I love the grit it adds and having 2 fully settable pitches/octaves it's a big plus!

this is a video where I compare the Pitch Bay and the Micro POG. Since I believe some people out there are wondering how similar/different these pedals work.
Just listen and judge by yourself, I love and enjoy both pedals, but luckly enough not everybody may share the same taste
