OK, so maybe I've misjudged y'alls enthusiasm for coffee.
Now, do you guys actually like the taste of coffee or do you like it because it's a powerful drug?

I love dark roast coffee. Fuck light roast that shit is too acidic and hurts my tummy. I'd drink coffee all day if I could. Probably would make love to it too.

Either I have built up a godlike tolerance, or it's about as powerful as a piece of wet bread.
It does taste great however.

Yeah, sounds like you've built up a high tolerance. I like to take breaks from coffee drinking every once in a while, lowers your tolerance level back to "normal".

Yeah, Kona's pretty smooth. I think it needs to be roasted lightly to bring out the best flavor from it without overpowering it and you definitely get that from it when using a gentle brewing method like a vacuum pot.

im a weirdo that really enjoys bitter flavors.
also it would be hard to live without the mood enhancing effects of caffeine

I may not know off the top of my head what good coffee is but I know it when I taste it and shmell it. I like it.
I also like coffee to perk me up at a long day at work. Powerful may be an overstatement.

Both.
My tastebuds are pretty shot, so as strong as possible is the best way forward.

Does anyone have some recommendations for gear for drinking coffee on-the-go?
Specifically:
I want a thermos that
-will keep coffee hot for a while
-I can drink out of
-will be able to sustain a bumpy bike ride in my backpack without spilling hot coffee all over me and my papers.
Everything I've seen seems to only meet a couple of those points and not all of them.

I work with a dude who has a thermos that hits all those points--and keeps his coffee hot for like, 6 hours, too. Will shoot him a text.
