Rereading my first post I have to say I come across as more sour than I had liked. I honestly could care less about it. I just think the person should own up to it themselves and give back something to the community, like pay forum costs for awhile or something. I don't know what those costs are so I don't know that's too much or not enough. I know he is a busy guy and every time I've interacted with him in real life has been positive. He just got a bit over his head I think.

I already know what I would be giving** this year, jut have to make a trip to Reading Terminal Market, so I would sign up if it happened.

Busy or not the rules were/are pretty specific. If you would like to give this person one more chance that's cool but what's stopping him from fucking over more people? This person need to go. At this point there is no excuse.

As far as the past SSs go with situations like proroby's, if you let me know who has flaked, I can at least not let them in again this year.
If I don't know who they are, I can't prevent them from participating.

I'll post a final list of all participants once we hit a cutoff. A list of those participants will be posted and then if ANYONE has ANY
objection to ANYONE on the list participating they can let me know before I randomize the assignments.

Not to sound rude, but I shouldn't have to do anything. It wasn't my responsiblility, I have real things to be responsible for. Nor should you have to keep checking in. It's the person who signed up and received a gift's responsibility. It's no one's fault but his. Anyways, I like the idea of listing all the people's name and if anyone has a legitimant reason for removal, they should be removed. Most people have a positive experience doing this, like I did the first two times.
