or does it even need it
2 5" speakers
seems kinda lame

oh and echo
i hooked the sheffields to the vox
try em out before i sent 2 to pope in aus
it sounded so good
so ive been thinkin the same thing
but it really dont need it
it doont break up unless you force it too

I don't have a picture, but I have an old solid state Univox that I really love the sound of.

Also, there's an Ampeg ss140c for sale on craigslist near me and I really want to pick it up. I've read a lot of good things about those amps.

The LED mod. I documented it in the first post on my Tumblr. Worth doing the trem depth mod from Tweedbassman (Matt from Penny Pedals) in the next post, too. I liked the amp before the mods but I love it now.

Ryan's reminding me I haven't run my Pathfinder through my EV Thiele cab since the mod. I'm guessing I'm in for a treat.

Had an old silvertone SS head that sounded fuckin' phenomenal. So much crackle and character. Old Harmony stuff, too. Had an old peavey combo with a great chorus and digi-verb built in, think it was 120 watts. Sounded good, can't remember the name (likely a JC120 nod). Any loud SS bass amp I've run a guitar into sounds great. And of course, Fuzzhugger Pipe Amps.

i wasnt clear about anything huh
yeah the clipping leds in the pathfinder
make the gain knob break shit up immediately
meaning using pedals w/out doing the mod sucked
if you take the leds out
you get mucho headroom and more volume
its still a 15w amp
but it kills for a practice amp
and the sheffeild i hooked up to the speaker wires
didnt use them in an external cab
i unplugged the vox stock speaker
and alligator clipped some extension wires
to each one of the sheffields
just to make sure they were ok
got me thinkin bout puttin a bigger speaker in there
i got that wooden box crate too
its got a 12" speaker
that thing needs no help
lotta headroom and i think goes to 60watts
if you connect an external cab

all this said
since my accoustic 150 is under the bed
and the emperor is in my hallway
im hookin them up
and prob wont play either of the others
till we get a new jamspace
my 612 is at the storage space collectin dust
probly a fuckin mousehouse by now
