I would've had to dowel and redrill for a MIM CP so they gave me my money back and when I have an American or AVRI I will promptly get another...
Can't you just wrap the replacement thimbles in shielding tape until they fit? That link i posted before showed a guy doing that with a MIM CP to replace the thimbles with AVRI ones.
I agree the mastery is cooler looking, though.

I read that but I aint about jankin my shit up... I wanted the thimbles to touch wood (I'm touching cloth) and not be some rigged up mess... They suggested the dowel and redrill but for the time and effort and what I spent on the bridge and the guitar and the fact that I didn't have a problem in the first place and that I just wanted a cool MASTERY it wasn't worth it... I slapped the old whatever I got back on and haven't had problem... The MASTERY is just such a cool piece of MASTERLY designed hardware that I wouldn't skip a second to put them on my REAL Jazzy when I get another...

I'm not surprised at all at the MSRP. Fender slapping a name on a guitar other than a Squier is at least a cool $1200. AT LEAST.

yeah, i guess.. it¨s hard to see my dream dissolve though
it makes sense, i don't what i expected given the prices of CPs... hoped for it to be close to the price of a CP though
bottom line is i think this should be priced as CP and CP in general should be priced about 75% of their price

And we all live in a world filled with rainbows and sunshine.
Didn't you see the MSRP on that Jim Root Jazzmaster? This is at least less than that.

Whenever I see this guy's name, I think of van Leeuwenhoek, the scientist.
Which makes me think of Ren Hoëk.
Then I think of a chihuahua wearing a black suit with a red shirt.

The Sonic Youth sigs were stripped the fuck down and still $1500 so this is totally expected.

I read on offsetguitars that the street price for this will be $1299, so not quite as bad as the msrp. With the specs on this, I'm not surprised at all. If this was American made it would easily be $2000 so I don't think the price is too bad. If I didn't already have an awesome Jazzy, I'd be tempted by this. I'm not super fond of block inlays, and this definitely isn't my favourite colour either, but I still think it looks pretty damn snazzy.
