too much hate too often. there are plenty of EHX pedz i
anyway though, sorry to jump in late, but what's up w/ the mini hot tubes? are they actually packing tubes inside that somehow??

Naw, it's a CMOS 4049 chip, it's a reissue of a big box pedal they had in the 70s or 80s (CBA to check which era) just a tubey sound.
There are a few designs that use it, Red Llama Fuzz, Craig Anderton Tube Sound, others i'm sure.
They discontinued the Tube Hot Tubes.

yeah i knew they'd discontinued that one, why i've hung onto mine. bummer they aren't making a new smaller version of that...

And the DMM is such a perfect delay, I won't say its the best, but it is perfect. And I used the English Muff'n for years and it never failed me.
But yeah, their xo line makes me cringe, I like pretty boxes or boxes that look like something found out of a cheesy sci-fi movie, or destruction devices... EHX doesn't do any of that anymore.

meant half of the EHX stuff i've owned, not specifically BBM's. the one that i owned did have problems, but that's good. made me buy something that didn't make me disappear whilst playing with others.

Also, big muffs are awesome.
But, it's been a while since I've owned any actual EHX. But, I've owned countless clones and copies of EHX stuff. I've also never broken an EHX pedal, and I break most things I own.

Really? Probably just me using dumb settings or something, it sounds really tinny and pathetic to me whenever I run it with fuzz. Maybe I should fix the blend knob and that's the problem (it doesn't do shit, which sounds fine clean but maaaaayyy be why it sounds awful with fuzz. I dunno).

off the top of my head i think the only EHX i've hated has been the holy stain. the lag in its processing was pathetic.

I've only had one ehx pedal and that was the micropog but I learned I really didn't need a polyphonic octave up and down. I now use a boss ps2 and it does everything I needed the pog for plus some at 80 bucks. I wasn't that impressed is what I'm saying plus it wax ugly as fuck.

So wait, that pedal used to be this, right?
http://www.ehx.com/products/hot-tubesExcept with no tube, a single tone control you can bypass instead of bass/treble knobs, and a single gain knob?
The old one used to have gain and drive knobs, I wonder how they worked that into this new stripped down version?
