And I've listened, and it's cool. Definitely some stuff that's not my cup of tea, but some really good stuff in there too.

dude jumping genres is AOK. it's just if you wanted to make it ENTIRELY jazz you should ask if there's anyone who'd pass on that (like me). you totally still can, everybody can do whatever the hell they want w/ this, i just wanted to throw some tips. if you wanna do that for example, go for it, just ask around and if anyone wants to pass on it that's just a month they'll choose to skip because of being stubbornheaded about their tastes.

& on that note, i totally look forward to SOME jazz being tossed into a mix of other stuff, maybe it'll finally turn me on!

edit: also there IS a jazz club in cbus i hit once in a while to shoot pool w/ my sis & friends. i never mind at all badass musicians going nuts as background. it's just never gotten me into listening to it outside of such a scenario. they're IMO a far FAR more intelligent parallel to hippie jam bands. for now.

edit again: also if you put kanye west in your mix do not put a return address on the mailed CD. ;)

I will say that my mix has a little bit of everything on it, except jazz and reggae so we are good I guess. They're all packed, and I'll be PM'ing everyone a track list because I totally spaced and forgot to stuff them before packing taping and addressing. DOH

I'm a jazz guy, I can do that. My test for new stereo equipment in my living room is to listen to "kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. I love it each and every time.

toss some jazz in, some reggae, some whatever long as you're mixing it up. totally cool w/ me. was just saying that if you're doing everything in one genre oughta ask if anyone wants to pass on that.

& can totally toss kanye in if you want, i was just joking about hunting you down and killing you since i hate that tool. ;)
