Has anyone ordered and received an Acid Pig yet?
Excane's vids of the original Iron Pig sound primo on guitar and pretty great on Bass as well. We'll probably be running either a J-Bass or a P-Bass through the fuzz/distortion. Possibly a Ric as well. We could use my Pharaoh on the Bass, but my guitar player has kinda fallen in love with it. So far we're thinking Pharaoh > Guitar > JCM800/Carr Slant 6V, Supercollider > Bass > Ampeg

Thanks man. I did try a Ric through the Pig and it sounds fucking killer.
I haven't received the acid pig yet. I remember waiting longer than expected for other Earthbound pedals, so I basically just forget about it until I get the tracking info. It will show up.

Though in my world it always takes me longer to edit something then I think too, though updates would be nice.

I took your advice and emailed Mark. He said the Pale Mare pre-orders would ship the week of 26 August and that he would
contact me then with shipping information.
Neither of these things happened.
I'd be much happier hearing "I'm a way behind and the pedal won't realistically ship for another month or so"
than "They'll ship next week" when he knows that's not the truth.
Did he honestly think changing the name of the company would help?

Definitely don't need one, but they sounds so good.
His pedals are always reasonably priced too.

Mmmhmm.
Best bet is to buy used, though.

Ok, I only got to use my new SC for 5 minutes before my guitar player stole it away from me (I'm the drummer in this project), but here's my initial reaction...
Straight out of the box, I didn't even touch the knobs and I think most of them were set around 12:00, using a P-90 equipped SG plugged into the low-gain side of a JCM800.....just massive! Girth! Tight lows, great highs and no mush. My buddy plugged into it with his BC Rich Bich and Timeline so I got to hear it from the drum seat as well. The original idea was to use the Supercollider on Bass and the Pharoah on Guitar, but we may need to rethink this

Man, as far as high gain and highly tweakable muff clones go, I don't think there's anything better than the SC. Maybe the Beast cuz you get some oscillation footswitches.
Also, I received an update from Mark about the SC '71 I ordered a couple weeks back. He was apologizing for not meeting the shipment date, said it should go out in a few weeks, and offered refunds to anyone that was tired of waiting. That's def a step forward in his customer service skills. Updates are something I never received from him in the past.
