Just kidding. The Skreddy line is amazing, and I'm eagerly awaiting to hear what the Pig Mine is like.

For sure no. I'm trying really hard to avoid feature bloat/creep. Our business model will not be sustainable into the future if we don't stick to standard products. I basically include everything I think will make a great echo and very arbitrarily decide not to add extras beyond that point.

The Pig Mine is smooth and super articulate. Basically all the "bad" things about muffs is missing (noise, destruction of original guitar tone and articulation, doesn't cut through, etc.), but all the best things (other than the extreme, Corganesque, sonic mayhem, that is--keep in mind this is a Gilmour-targeted fuzz) are in there. I'm working on getting some clips made asap. I'm afraid of recording my own these days; I'm very unhappy with my playing and can't think of anything to play either. Anyhow, hopefully some will get made soon.

No; those transistors aren't being found in proper gains or quantities any more. Something may come up in the future, but I'm not looking for them any longer; that pursuit sucked up too much of my time and resources already.

Marc, what's your favorite pedal of the Skreddy line?
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

I would normally say "whichever one I'm playing" but then I remembered that sometimes I'll come back to the original Mayonaise to do a tone comparison to a REAL triangle knob clone. Funny what some people refer to as a "triangle knob clone". But other than that, "which ever one I'm playing." ;)

i'm not sure if 'butt rock' is the descriptor i'd choose for the zero with flat mids... heh. i like it. to me, it's a good balance of big muff fuzziness and straight up hard rock good times. it's a nice counter to my flat mid Mayo, which doesn't have the switch and i sometimes wish it did - mine was made in the pre-switch days. i'm thrilled, especially for recording, that i can choose which sort of Zero tone i want.

skreddy wrote:The Zero that Jdavyd got has amazed me. I did not think a Zero needed a mids switch (the original PCBs did not have a place to install one, so please do not ask me to retrofit yours if you have an old one). But I found that with the mids switched to flat, the almost parametric quality of the mids reminded me of a lot of cool butt-rock sounds from the 80's. I don't know if I will ever make it a standard issue for the Zero, but it's very cool. But now I've just put myself in the fucked-up position of not only having a secret product but a secret-secret product/option.
:picard:

Since I got mine around the same time as jdavyd, is the mid switch a possibility? Hook a brother up when ya aren't too busy .
Looking to create a smaller board to just grab and go and I think I could cover a lot of ground with my zero, especially with the mid switch.

jdavyd,
That's pretty cool that you got a Zero with mids switch. I actually thought of asking Marc to do the same thing with mine right after requesting to be put on the list, but I had forgotten all about it until the day I received the paypal payment request. By then I figured I was too late. oh, well. It's still one hell of a distortion/fuzz unit. :animal: (gotta love these smiley's...lol)

Morningstaru,

I have an Ernie as well. Yours is the only one i've seen along with crxsh's with that Black Sabbath font. Looks so much meaner than the stock skin.
Its very grainy and "woody" sounding compared to the Zero, but still a nice heavy muffy fuzz. :thumb:

Also, I've been interested in a Creepy Fingers Doomidrive for some time now. How's that working out for you? And most importantly, what type of rig are you using with it?

I feel lame that I've never tried a Skreddy and feel that my board is about complete. My gas for a second od pedal is rising, but I know I couldn't wait the requisite time to get one. Same goes for the Skreddy echo...I'd love to put a Pog in the loop, but I'm delayed out and again, can't wait. I want candy, bubblegum and taffy.
