THEY ARE... I have a 5 way diode selector on mine and the Germanium option is PURE TITS!!!

Also watch out 1000 posts man, almost there just a lil more Noodly and some Poodly...

I'm starting to realize how much I love germanium dirt. I ended up pulling the trigger on the crimson drive :yay:

I wish I could listen to your demo on my phone robs, I'll have to wait until I get home

You'll have to let us know what you think! I almost took the leap and got one when the new version came out in like... December?

I'll be very interested to hear how you think the Crimson Drive compares to the Mini. I know that a lot of pedals are billed as "such and such amp in a box...." but the CD does remind me of my old JCM 800 or a vintage-y Marshall (I'm running mine into an early Carr Slant 6V through the clean channel).

Yeah I've heard of that comparison before, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but I think I'm going to dig it.
It seems to really clean up well with the volume knob and being as its germanium based, I'd like to think it'll stack with my TAFM like family.
:hobbes:

So here is the algal set pretty overdrive-y. In person it sounds fairly similar to my amp. My amp gets brighter as it overdrives and the algal has a little more "texture" to it so that's most of the differences. I usually run it with more gain than that but I tried to set it close to my amp. And they sound totes boss together. idk. It's a shitty demo cause I had to use my iphone (i normally do direct in if I want to be not lofi)

and both run great with flanger btw :)

i prefer the algal to the amp OD!
ah fuckk

i've always had the bloom on my list of fuzzes to get but i just never got around to it.
good demo :)

and very good point goroth.

I know it's lame to recommend EHX nowadays, but the Germanium OD is actually a fantastic pedal that skirts the line between fuzz and overdrive really well. The starve and bias knobs lets you get all kinds of crazy gated and pinched fuzz sounds, too.

The algal bloom, crimson drive, and demo tape fuzz are all on my need to play list. Want to try a doomidrive sometime too, but those are harder to find

Before. TAFM loves having dirt in front thanks to the blend.

Yeah, lower gain dirt -> TAFM is awesome. Never liked stacking it much the other way round.

yeah i did the same with the blunderbuss.
seemed to lose some balls when an OD was after it but added this odd compression to it that was kinda cool

Nice demo! Sounds midrangey, which is good for a band setting :thumb:
