And about Orchid, like I stated in my post, there were several crossings of boundaries between genres. I concentrated on listing stuff that I listen to when I'm in a certain mood. That matters more to me than most genre names.

I know they're described as post-metal, but that first album Winter Hours sounds like it has more in common with hardcore and then the newer album sounds like angrier versions of that. Anyway they do good riffing and some angry shouting, good times.

Tombs is awesome. I don't know how I'd classify them, but I do know I saw them open for Isis and Pelican. And they do sound like a band that would tour with Isis. And Pelican.
