I'm waiting for something to arrive before posting a silly picture of my board, but essentially yeah.

thats why you can fit two in the space of one

like, if it's something that needs the space and uses it, sure. a Goatse would be crowdedmon a small enclosure.
but a muff with 2 knobs in a box bigger than my head? nah. no thank you.
conversely the Ditto i'm fine with being so small. is simmmmple.
but like. i have to give it as much room as a 1590b. so. whatevah.

Damm straight!

Those pedals are directed at the japanese market, obviously.

What's the point of mini pedals when they have big ol' jackplugs sticking out the sides?? All of a sudden we're back to taking up lots of room...

I don't have a problem with mini pedals. I have a problem with shitty pedals. If you can fit an awesome circuit in a tiny box, great! If you have to shitty it up to fit it in said box, not so great. By the same token, if it sounds craptastic but has a huge enclosure, well that sucks too.

You know what'd be good? If someone made a small pedal with like, cables built in, with locking jacks, hanging out the top like antennae.
I jest. El distorto is a super practical solution to the stupidity with small pedals. At least one of the stupid things about them. Whatever.

Again, not at all my priority when I make a pedalboard. You're talking to a dude that traded his xo memory man so he could get the big box memory man, strictly because the knobs are bigger and further apart so I can tweak them easier and more accurately when I need to. It also doesn't look like ass.
However... a mini pedal I can vibe with assuming it sounds good:

This, however, just blows away all the arguments..... (if it sounds any good)...

That's a very good point, except for the fact that being mini it per definition bites ass.
I don't jive with logic.

In all honesty I must say I usually don't get a woodie from the mere fact a pedal is mini sized but the Mooer FOG I just got in is badass, a great fuzz that's capable of some broken amp like sounds up to more synth like textures.
The Pure Boost is pretty good too, a nice flexible (from warm to bright) and good sounding boost.
