the nova delay sounds great and has a lot of options, but it won't oscillate which I really like. I found the modulation a little underwhelming on it too

What do you wanna know?
It's a really nice sounding analog delay with modulation. A little on the dark sounding side.

approx max delay length? 600ms? and what's the deal with no repeats control?

Good questions. I don't know what the max delay time is (you or I'd have to ask Matt). I'm pretty sure it's not 600ms though.
The "Echo" knob controls the repeats. The "Speed" knob is only functional when the modulation is on.

Oh, okay! so there's no pot for the volume of the repeats, that's kind of okay with me anyway
it seems like a cool one

Yeah, it's a cool one. I'm not sure it would work as most people's only delay, but there's definitely a lot to like about it.
For the price, it's really outstanding. I'm loving it.
I wish there were more demos of it. Matt's demo shows the wilder side of it, but not the more "normal" stuff it can do.

I thought the MLJr was a little boring.
Sups puss is very fun, can be very weird, and the sound was much more useable for me.
