I'd really like to get rid of the stuff that's been sitting on the shelves. But it's either been modded, sentimental, or too thrashed for anyone to buy. Hmph. Maybe I will put some of it into my fiance's pedalboard suitcase, we do have a show coming up in April

I regret 99% of my pedal sell-offs, most notably the vintage stuff.

Same, i'm kind of a guitar hoarder even though I only have used one in the last 2 years.

I have a core of 3 pedals then i'll just interchange others depending on how I feel. I've gone through a period where i've sold 10 pedals and bought a more where I have a 70% new pedal board

I've never had a large board (my biggest had 8 pedals), but I've gone back to basics. My current setup has three pedals: Demo Tape Fuzz, RRR, and Turbo Tuner. The Demo Tape Fuzz is my basic dirt sound, the RRR is my clean sound, and I kick them both on for leads. Since my band plays out about once or twice a month, I'd say it's definitely worth it for the sake of both troubleshooting and ease of transport. I still have a big box full of pedals for goofing around and recording.

Perhaps I'm a cold-hearted bastard, but I don't have a GOD-damn piece of gear that I consider "sentimental". I'm not saying that you guys are pussies or anything, but even like shit that I've had for over a decade I'd give up if I felt like it.

I feel like maybe if I actually become a musician, and not just a dicklicker, I'll have earned the right to keep some gear.

I had my Epi Casino FOREVER... tours and everything... and dropped that. I guess I've had my RAT since 2000, but that just sounds too good to give up. I have a few pedals I regret selling, but that's just because they sounded better than what I replaced them with. My first pedal was a green Russian Muff (bubble font, but still), and I let that go quite easily. Welp.

Otherwise... eh... gotta have songs before you start piling shit up.

I never have pedal just lying around, I've always used 100% of the pedals I own at any given time.
If something falls out of use, off it goes.
My board has been completely regenerated numerous times over the past couple years.
Now though, it's starting to level out now that I can make most of the sounds in my head come out of the speakers.
But, would I ever sell all my pedal and start over?
Not a fucking chance, this is too much fun.
