All right, I reserve the right to TOTALLY CHANGE MY MIND about this whole thing as soon as I hit "submit," but at the moment, my Top 10 (in no particular order) goes like so:

Bob Mould - Silver Age
Free Electric State - Monumental Life
Aesop Rock - Skelethon
King Tuff - King Tuff
Mission of Burma - Unsound
Sweet Love - Motor
Torche - Harmonicraft
Mark Lanegan Band - Blues Funeral
Ringo Deathstarr - Mauve
Alec K Redfearn & the Eyesores - Sister Death
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

How the fuck did I forget that? Best thing Lanegan's ever done imo (and I say this as a big fan of screaming trees and his stint in qotsa).

If you like late 50's or 60's soul music check out
Times all gone by Nick Waterhouse

Seriously awesome. Sounds like something that should have come out in 58'.... but it came out this year

Also I listened to The Seer by Swans a ton. The whole triple LP thing seemed like it was going to be a bit much but it still more kept my attention the whole way through.

The new Fiona Apple album sticks out in my mind too. I love how minimal the production was.

The first Glacial (Lee Ranaldo, Tony Buck and David Watson) album was really enjoyable too.

Of course the new GYBE album was really good.

Celebration Rock by Japandroids was a super fun album. Nothing groundbreaking but just a ton of fun.

Hm, I'd say the best album is Mark Tremonti's All I Was.

pending because I've only listened to them both a couple times, but, Sleepies 'weird wide world' and the Acid Problem LP are both ruling kinda hard right now.

I've tried to listen to psychedelic pill a half dozen times, but the production kills me.

That said, Swans' The Seer is fucking tops.

a) nah, it's just an awesome jam

Just came into this thread to post about Psychedelic Pill so glad to see it getting mentioned already! Amazing album with some tracks that are already future classics imho (Walk Like A Giant and Ramada Inn).

The guitar meltdown in WLAG slays me every time!

EDIT: Also I second the hope that they tour the UK, or Ireland to be more specific :)
