Believe it or not, I'm in the exact type of band I want to be in. Two piece, me playing fuzzed out and/or very effected industrial-esque bass lines and my bandmate playing thick synth pads and IDM-style beats.
My cover band I wish was more willing to play obscure shit. I'm sick of playing only songs that you'll hear on the radio.

I want to play some fucking basic, open diary lyrics, not quite punk, rock. Nana Grizol meets Early Nirvana shit. I'm just sick of denying how I normally play, when I'm with other people. I write interesting, but basic shit, and lyrics that want to be something more than they are.
Just gimme a drummer and I'll fucking figure it out. :\

I wanna be in a 3 piece band: me on guitar with nothin more than a Pipe Amp and a few, cheap battery-powered pedals, a guy playing a hand drum, and someone to play some sort of primitive flute type of instrument (Not Zamfir). Kind of like Tyrannosaurus Rex with moar fuzz, more occasional black metal-y moments. Maybe flute-dude could bust some Pipe Amp fuzzbass when I wanna solo out -which would be once per song, at LEAST.
I'd also like to be in an all-guitar ensemble, playing fuzzy versions of Renaissance Chant-inspired stuff. Most conventional band lineups don't interest me (as far as what I like to play).

Ha, I got a decent drummer at work, but he strictly plays new boring metal. Not even classic old metal, he likes to play new wave classic boring metal.. Not Maiden, but the latest Dickinson single.
But at this point I would join anyone wanting to play, so we tried to set a band, me playing bass... but it's fucking impossible over here, there is not a single grown up japanese with spare time to play . Bands are only for teens and
some university students.

a shoegaze/drone band with long solos, kind of like a more extreme version of Silversun Pickups with Beach Boys melodies, Ray Davies lyrics, and heavily processed John Cipollina/Neil Young leads.
an ambient/EDM project with one or more multi-instrumentalists that'd use sequencing, programmed stuff, and more delay lines than they have at PGS along with live Boards of Canada-esque processed guitars and such. i.e. a spacier version of the Campfire Headphase sound.
a psychedelic folk project with British influence rather than tired old Americana, something that'd be 50% Fairport, 25% acoustic Hawkwind, and 25% Gong.

an experimental alt rock/electronic band. The guitar sounds would alternate between fuzzed out and trippy ambient stuff. We'd have a synth guy using analog synths and modules to add cool sounds and textures...and fat basslines.
