I too don't have an arm and am too lazy to bend the chord up so what I do is use tunings that leave the strings fairly loose and bend the neck itself to get the seasick sound. The neck on this 60's guitar is already questionable and in need of repair, plus I'm not bending it that hard, so :idk:
If a down-bend is needed just smack the crap out of the chord and quickly use your picking hand to press on the body to get leverage. Easy peasy.
I wonder if the trem system makes it easier to do neckgaze bends. Of course past fret 7 or so it's easier to just bend the strings.
