Actually a good question... my reply? The Earthbound Audio Throat Locust!
I know it's more a distortion and HM2 derivate, but to me it has its own fuzziness.

Fuzz fuzz, only fuzz.... I have few candidates:
Earthbound Audio Supercollider (best BM out there IMHO)
MASF Epilepsy (the noisiest fuzz ever made)
BRSI Audio TFZ (lately this has been the one I play most)
Spiral Electric FX Allora and Black V2 (very similar but each with its own nuances, I tried to sell one, but I can't)
EAE/MAE Eldritch Blast (maybe compared to some other fuzzes I own it has a glassy character, but there's something very textural about it, kind understand why David Torn loves it a lot)
Aion FX Argus (my DIY Roland Double Beat clone, a very cool forgotten fuzz, with lots of good tone in it)
Lastgasp 046 Soopar Fuzz (my pick for the Superfuzz family)
etc...

Retrospective since this post:

I got a Doom Bloom, ditched the Algal, then ditched the Doom. Probably silly to get rid of the original algal, it's such a cool pedal. I regret it sometimes but also life is short, and I guess if I REALLY wanted one I could. TAFM went away for a while but I got another because it truly was a keeper. I've been wanting another one-knob thing like the meathead for a while though....

At the moment it's the Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box, but hey, ask me again in a week.
