A color knob makes the whole flint - stone comparison increasingly plausible.

I remember when the first Timeline batch went on sale...

CBA wrote:Yeah, I don't see how Speed, Intensity, and Depth rule out tremolo AT ALL. Seems to me like it's exactly tremolo, especially when put up against the possibility of a phaser.
I still say it's a dual "Blackface" kind of pedal with one stomp for Trem and one for Reverb... and maybe Vibe in there.

because in terms of tremolo, depth and intensity are synonymous

Mix, depth, AND intensity? So if it's a phaser I guess mix would obviously be a blend, depth would be like the width of the wave, and intensity would be a feedback control or something? But then what would the color knob control?
Gah I just wanna see Strymon's demos already.

I doubt I'm going to get whatever this is, anyway, as I'm most likely not going to buy a digital phaser, and I have no interest in a tremolo or reverb pedal.
BUT I must say that I actually really like the revelatory thing that Strymon is doing to introduce the pedal... it's been fun trying to guess what it is.
TOM TOM TOM DO IT DO IT DO IT

frequency range, like the trim pot inside a Phase 100.

well, Strymon has apparently denied that it's a phaser on their Facebook page. the most recent blurred photo on their Products page looks like both foot switches are labelled "****** BYPASS" in two lines of type. that would imply a dual-function box, and makes me think that the reverb+trem theory is correct after all. meh.

To throw another pointless speculation in: perhaps the knob labeled "de..." is decay rather than depth.

or "DELAY." it's not as though Strymon hasn't made dosh off delays before.

if it has speed, it has a LFO. a LFO needs, at least for me, some kind of depth control...

Perhaps that's what the "intensity" knob is...
I'm just being an asshole; don't mind me.

It's still blurry...the left side could be anything.
Treholo? Fremold?
