As seems to be the general trend, I also put myself on the Super Puzzle list. And hopefully sometime not too long after Christmas I'll buy myself a synth.

Yesssss.
Last thing I bought that wasn't a necessity was the Electribe, and I just recently got it back from a friend so I'm counting that as a gift. Last night I went against the urge to not create something cheesy and ended up making a sleazy 90's style oontz oontz track with passing police siren noise.
It was so good.

^^^ Yeah, looks great. I had one awhile back, threw a tone control on that bitch, then traded it off like a dumbass! Not a huge fan of a tune-O-Matic bridge setup on that guitar, thought I'd love it. I did love the lack of buzzing.

Man.. Sonic Youth was hands down the most mind blowing spectacle I've ever witnessed. Sooooo fucking amazing live.

Those Lee Ranaldo Jazzmasters would be tempting if I didn't think that modern Fender humbuckers were such ass.
Maybe I'll go to town on my knock off and have my own jazzblaster.

I went to the mall with kids and gave something like this to Santa and explained sniggering he can give me something unobtainium awesome since I got already the little stuff. He sneered at me and said
Well there WAS this one guitar, it was used by one Robert Johnson, but since YOU are a bass player I gave it to somebody else. Then I woke up. Just realized: Santa and Robert Johnson in the same dream
...but really I bought myself just new strings, a few cds and t shirts.

Nothing very special. Concentrated on the kids' presents.

you can get 'em reworked for not too much dough, make 'em sound much better.
but for that kinda thing, I'm probably more inclined to buy a Thin Skin
and install Curtis Novak stealth WRHBs.

yep!
I saw 'em more than a dozen times - a couple of times they were just ok, a couple just pretty good,
but more than half the times I saw 'em they pretty thoroughly mangled my perception of time and space
and left me all electric with magic energy.
yep!
