I don't have the album and I haven't heard it all, but Gotye - Making Mirrors is going to be up there whenever I get it.

I can probably safely say that's my favourite album of this year. Favourite composition would be Donnacha Dennehy's 'Grá Agus Bás', but 'BBNG' is probably the thing that I dug the most all over.

Iceage - New Brigade
Awesome punk band from Denmark with a pretty distinctive style.
Yuck - Yuck
Awesome fuzz tones. Very 90s sounding, a little unoriginal, but still great.
WU LYF - Go Tell Fire to the Mountain
Very cool indie rock with prog/ post rock elements. Really distinctive vocals.
Wavves - Life Sux EP
Great summer record.
Veronica Falls - Veronica Falls
Cool 90s twee/indie pop sound. I'm in love with the singer's voice.
SBTRKT - SBTRKT
Really nice, relaxing trip hop-ish dubstep.
Rational Animals - Bock Rock Parade
Great punk album, kinda reminds me of sludge bands like Kylesa or Melvins.
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Belong
Another twee/indie pop album, but this one goes into super fuzzy Pumpkinsy territory.
Fanzine - Low EP
More 90s inspiration. Reminds me a lot of Dinosaur Jr.

Cool dark music. Not really sure what genre this one is. Listen to the track Grey Ship.
