A touch disappointed. It will notatall approximate a Bazantar.

I echo the sentiments of rbtr abov, however.
I play.

That's just how I feel about it..... just emulating the sound won't actually sound like a sitar anyway, same with the drone strings....... all I know is that when I die and go to heaven will George Harrison want to shake my hand and then want to have a sick jam or will he look away and mutter "sitar poseur" under his breath.........

Doesn't sound sitar-like in the least. Perhaps if in an open tuning with some actual sitar-like playing it could sound a bit less hokey.

I had my Jerry Jones clone sounding a hell of a lot closer just by playing differently.

Meh. It has some interesting functions, but overall I was pretty damn underwhelmed.

Wow I bet George Harrison would totally want to hang out with that guy...... can you post the forum link? I'd like to turn a shitty strat knock off I have into that sort of thing.......

The drone + fuzz sounded sick as tits! But the rest kinda meh. Like a lot of extra added treble and glitchyness.
awesome signature with witty quotes from all you fuckers :)

Yep. Plus the POG can put forth a shit ton of other awesome, useable sounds. Why drop all that cash on a "Sitar" emulator with POGs and POG2s available used at fair prices? I'm thinking most people won't.

Hate the play the devil's advocate here, but this Ravish Sitar pedal is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I've been looking for something that'll allow me to have a drone under a solo/interlude, or a riff like the guitarist in the video did. That fuzz+drone thing he did was a total 'sound in my head' kind of thing. I can honestly say I understand why you guys are disappointed, it's not a sitar, but I think if you WANTED IT TO BE, it would be.... hell, run a squier strat into one of these with that mod to make it sound like a sitar. I also loved that it could sound like a chorus pedal, it could probably be used as a flanger or phaser, and had that pitch bender expression pedal out, which I was afraid would sound like a lame whammy knockoff, but sounded like it bent the pitch up a half step to a whole step, which I've ALSO wanted to for a while. That pitch bender doing vibrato+the player doing lots of virbato+that sitar drone/sitar emulated sound+fuzzzzzz=Something I'm not quite yet sure the world is ready for. :!!!:
...and I've got no mother and I've got no dad. :yay:

i'm not disappointed that it fails to emulate a sitar perfectly, i'm disappointed because it sounds so thin and cheesy. i was hoping for something with richer overtones in the drones in particular, but instead it has that sort of unpleasantly artificial weedy quality the POGs have that i really don't like. it seems like a really interesting idea realized to about 15% of its potential. but then, if it did the kind of things i'm hearing in my head, it'd be a guitar synth LOL.

Fret not dude, to each their own! And remember, the world didn't know it was ready for Hendrix until the man ripped into them with his sonic wonder.
