I have it in a combo configuration. So with the speakers, I will admit...it's very heavy. Never head to carry just the head (all in one unit). I can carry it up and down stairs...but I would prefer not to

One of the reasons why I got my Vox was because despite it being longer, it really is a grab and go amp...just not for playing at home. I have been enjoying the spring reverb on in lately by keeping the normal channel up and the master WAY down. But for the Hartke, I have an RM-1 and when you tame that beast it sounds like good (albeit not normal in anyway shape or form) spring reverb.
I personally have not used any of the other models of Hartke. A buddy has a smaller one. He used it as a PA for his DJ Booth at a wedding we were at and it 1. Sounded great 2. Nobody complained about the volume being too low.
More or less mine...
I was pretty down about buying it for a while. Like "what the fuck do I need this for". Then I actually started using it

I have yet to hear so much as a buzz out of the thing. I'm 1) hunting for a cab, but have had little time/resource to do so because 2) I'm finishing my basement and studio in preparation for the imminent arrival of 3) baby #3.
But the carpet went in today, so the studio will be up tonight, so I have time/space to think about this, so I'll get a cab, so I'll hear the amp, so I'll play cool loud music.
Life!

Okay. Best of luck with the far more important matters. I'll check-in again in six months.

Hahaha I'll have a real update in the next couple weeks. Can't wait longer than that. Bursting to be noisy.

Great Googly Moogly! You did it! You won!
I see you bought the Peavy's for that absurd once in a lifetime price. Great for you!

Yeah. The Sunn PA, the Peavey head, and the cabs (8x10 and 2x12) cost me a total of $425. Feel pretty good about that.

UHHHH "feeling pretty good"! You should feel pretty fucking great Ha-Ha. You're also saving money on viagra cause you can just walk into that room now and realize all that awesome stuff did not (comparatively speaking) did not cost a small fortune. To put it in perspective for you...all of that cost less than one one of my synths (my Odyssey). All that was less than my Infinite Jets!

Wow, yeah...that does put it in perspective. I've paid more for a pedal than for all of that, too...

Ducken awesome. The Peavey head is a sleeper. Has circuits for fuzz, distortion, reverb and trem (and the trem has an independent gain circuit). Shocked myself pretty good a few times while adjusting controls, so it has 'quirks.' But the fuzz, distortion and channel/master gain controls give it a ton of dirt flexibility. It dooms really, really hard. The Sunn is a lot more straightforward, but is violent in its volume. I just finished my basement as of this week, and am assembling the jam room. I'll put up some 'process photos' soon.

!!!
Baritone tele + small board + weird amps + giant cab = crying babies.
