I do believe this is the trem I've waited my entire life for.

Can anyone set me straight as to what running this at more than 9 volts will achieve? I'm intrigued...

I think it just results in more headroom. Asked Ryan about it once and he said it simply sounded better to his ears at higher voltages (think he was running it at 12V when we discussed). Obviously higher voltage in a dirt pedal would produce more noticeable clean headroom, interested to hear the results with a trem.

I'm sorry there's no videos yet, Manuel! It's just been such a scramble to keep up with the store orders for these plus we've had to do some traveling lately for family stuff, I just haven't had a chance to do it properly yet. I still have a ton to make to be caught up with the store orders but I'm gonna do some demo videos one day and that's the truth!

So the 9VDC vs higherVDC thing, it really depends I guess. Giving a signal more room to do it's thing shouldn't really matter if it doesn't need the room, but musical gear generally sounds better running at higher voltages vs lower voltages and the extra headroom can never hurt so I say if you have the ability, go for it, but if you don't, don't lose any sleep about it. I can do 18VDC for multiple pedals but I just use 9VDC for everything and I don't feel like I'm missing out. 9VDC is my design goal with every pedal, the designs revolve around that, not higher voltages.

I think higher voltages can fool people sometimes as when you switch to 12 or 18 the pedal will be a little louder and a little louder pretty much always sounds a little 'better', so that's probably part of the equation too.

With circuits that add a lot of gain using higher voltages has a big effect on the sound as you're increasing the headroom so much, it changes the character of the distortion/overdrive, sometimes in a great way but sometimes not, it's something to experiment with for sure. The Frazz and Elements can do 18VDC but I only use them at 9VDC.. they're way more distorted!

Finally got it on one of my smaller boards to start messing with. I haven't had much time yet with it, but so far, I'm really, really in love with this hold feature. This should be on all pedals. It's perfect for me because tremolo isn't an 'always on' effect for me, so this feature allows me to use it in smooth bursts. I can't wait to get the Cosmichorus with this feature. I'll see if I can post a demo of it over the weekend.

I think it's a fun feature too... works great with the Cosmichorus too! Thanks again, much appreciated, and cool looking board. Gated fuzz and square wave tremolo sound really good to my ears!

You betcha, the square wave setting is very choppy and on/offy.

What kind of power supplies are Tremolessence users using? Ive got mine powered by a 9v, 200mA wall wart, and there's considerable noise in the signal path when the pedal is not engaged. Should the mA be closer to 50 (like it says in the manual) to get it smoother?
