I really like having a volume pedal in the loop. And the TAFM and delay before it. I've found that LOWERING the input volume causes some my pedals to actually react more (delays, 4545). But I'm really happy with this set-up. Two or three more things are going into the main loop, but otherwise, I'm loving it. The CCB is a big and fun part of a lot of my sounds and it provides a lot of flexibility, having a phrase sampler inside its loop

He's got a looper...inside of the CCB. So, a looper inside of a [feedback] looper. Combining that with the other pedals almost certainly sends things into insanity really quickly.

I got that. I'm wondering why this is an interesting or advantageous move. What are the benefits? I must admit most of the looping i have done was with a line 6 dl-4 and not too much of it.
I've discovered that mine Bass MuRF plays real nicely in the Utter Stutter,...lot's of options for craziness. Each Slider on the filter section cause different frequencies of feedback.
i've just started experimenting with my whole signal chain inside a loop. these are preliminary observations based on playing the board with no instrument input.
TC SCF chorus/flanger: LOUD howling feedback that overloads the unit's considerable headroom, some pitch control from WIDTH knob. when i say LOUD i mean like DBA loud. Menatone Pleasure Trem 5000: high-pitched whistle modulated by tremolo functions Emma envelope filter: humming drone, pitch controlled by knobs; when this is happening with the UP/DOWN switch in one direction, the other setting gives an electronic teakettle shriek when the switch is flipped EQD Ghost Echo: PA/mic-style mid-range feedback RV-3: similar to GE but more cutting EQD Tone Reaper: gain feedback with octave-up component FHFX Great Wall (3-knob): gain feedback with filtered, lightly hazy sound EQD Sound Shank: gain feedback with fairly clear fundamental Mellowtone Hi Five: nothing
it seems totally arbitrary whether some of the boxes feed back; sometimes they go off, other times they just sit there looking at you with their beady little LED eyes.

I've had a ton of success with my Dano corned beef reverb (sort of that slapback reverb sound) in my feedback looper, and haven't seen it mentioned here, so I thought I'd add it to the list.
Also using my Mooer pitchbox (which is like a mini, fixed Whammy I guess?) in the harmonize octave-down setting.

On the less-crazy side of things, I like to set the CCB so it either increases the amount of repeats with my delay (Disaster Transport Jr.), brings it to the edge of oscillation, or when set to maximum, blasts you with instant oscillation terror. No buildup at all, instant loudness.
I noticed the Chk Chk Boom affects things differently than the Utter Stutter, like the pot values/taper may be different or something.
