That's pretty awful.
Well, I got my Transparent OD used and my octave fuzz for free?
Wow. I'll make sure I don't buy anything new from them.

AND

That Transparent OD is (apparently!) actually a Timmy (Tim?) OD pedal, made by some guy named Paul!

The French Toast, which is t0tal titz, is a Foxx Tone Machine, which I believe was made by the guy who now owns Danelectro now.

Thank God I got my v1 Trans Drive second hand.

Not overly impressed though. If that is what a timmy is supposed to be like...maybe it's just the amp. It only sounded good when run through the Muff'n (so toobs) otherwise it was way too far 'in the back' of the amp.

Haven't gotten rid of it yet.

But, back on topic, I hate that most bass players of bands I see these days lack mids entirely. Why? Why would you do that?

Magick does not work its all a bunch of crap.
Magick:the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with the Will
Anything you Will to change that does is magick.
A big part of Magick is to turn all your actions into Willed actions. A lot of what people do and think are automatic reactions, this is not magick. Magick is less about moving object with your mind and more about moving your mind.

'Soundguys' like this bring shame to us all...Ok, I'm not a soundguy professionally, but I have a degree in audio tech., and have done mixing/recording for a few bands over the last couple of years..but still, it makes me ashamed that so many sound guys can be such complete knuckleheads..

Gotta get that inarticulate clank man, that's what all the cool kids are doing these days. If they can hear your strings slapping against the fretboard but not the actual notes produced then you have succeeded and everyone will now call you "this awesome bass player I know".

On a related note, I swear that I'm the only one who can't stand the little bass break in this:

Everybody's all "oh man epic bass playing bro" but the truth is that it
SOUNDS LIKE SHIT, BROS -- YOUR COLLECTIVE OPINIONS ARE SHIT.

wtf? it sounds like they just took some 12 year old, gave him a shitty bass and told him "do some tappy stuff" and recorded the sound of it without even being plugged in. this is why i weep for metal bass sometimes :picard:

In most extreme brutal blabla bands I seem to never hear bass, unless there is a crappy only treble on no other people playing part :wha?:

I agree. But I have to say I wish death bands would have the balls to dress like this on stage, it would be WAY more evil.
